a rough childhood

Born to immortal monster hunter Ulysses Bloodstone and his mortal wife Elise, Elsa was trained since infancy to follow in his footsteps, undergoing brutal, grueling training to mold her in his image.Despite Elise's protests, Ulysses kept pushing Elsa further and further. Eventually, Elise put her foot down and sent Elsa away to study in England, which resulted in Ulysses pushing their young son Cullen into becoming like him.Years pass. During her time away, Ulysses died in combat against Ulluxy'l Kwan Tae Syn, the Bloodgem's guardian. Unfortunately, he took Cullen out on a camping trip shortly before his death, stranding Cullen in the Black Realm of Klimtor without anybody else knowing where he is.Not long after she came back to inherit the manor and his father's assets, Elise passed away, leaving her as the sole keeper of the Bloodstone fortune, including two manor houses in Boston and just outside London.

FAMILY TIES

A little over two years after Cullen went missing, Elsa returned to the manor to find him in the house, having broken out of the mirror that led to Klimtor. Chaos ensued, and they managed to suppress Glartrox, the entity that had attached itself to Cullen, with a Bloodstone ring. From then on, Cullen was enrolled into Braddock Academy where Elsa ended up faculty member at. What happened to Cullen after that, is a story for another time.At one point, a mysterious woman named Mihaela Zamfir came to Elsa, claiming to be her half-sister, born to Ulysses and Katya Zamfir during the Cold War. Later, Elsa later found out while Mihaela is indeed Ulysses' daughter, she is actually a vampire from the 19th century, given a Bloodstone bracelet by Ulysses to stave off her vampirism and allow her to live a normal-ish life. Unfortunately for Elsa, this also meant Mihaela sees Ulysses in a much more positive light than any of her other siblings.Around the time Doctor Strange died, a pact made thousands years past was broken, leading to the appearance of Lyra, Ulysses' daughter from millennia ago. She is the bearer of the Nullgem, a magic-eating gem that stabilizes and amplifies the Bloodgem. With Lyra's help, the Bloodstone children defeated the ancient warlord Krakkan and banished Glartrox from Cullen.While Mihaela is content to live her own life away from the three save for occasional visits, the Bloodstone children now live at the manor near London, with Cullen and Lyra attending Braddock Academy while Elsa continues her globe-trotting monster hunting journeys.

Well-traveled

Becoming the world's foremost monster hunter after her father's sudden death, Elsa's exploits were plentiful, from joining renegade superhero team Nextwave, being recruited into the secret Covenant to protect humankind, fighting alongside Brunnhilde, Misty Knight, and the rest of the Fearless Defenders, to being an unofficial Avenger and A-Forcer. Even if her team list isn't as expansive as many others in the same field, she's made her rounds.Unlike her father, however, she is significantly less close-minded, having understood that some people happened to look like monsters, and some monsters happened to look like people. This has led to some interesting alliances, like becoming a member of the Monster Metropolis's Legion of Monsters (which came with another set of complications in the form of Jack Russell) and spending some time with giant monsters on the artificial island Mu alongside Kei Kawade, aka Kid Kaiju.In addition to her monster hunter work and her position as faculty member at the Braddock Academy, Elsa also manages Bloodstone Curios, the museum-slash-antiques shop portion of the Boston manor alongside her friends, Adam the Frankenstein's Monster and Charles Barnabus the vampire lawyer.Wherever she may be and whatever she's doing, she still safeguards humanity from those who would prey on them, human or monster alike.

Master monster hunter

Elsa is trained from a very early age to be the best at her job, and she is a master of all kinds of weapons and proficient in martial arts. Her training also makes her an expert trapper and tracker, as well as numerous other aspects of the hunt.

expert marksman

Especially gifted in marksmanship, she has a preference for vintage firearms though lately she has also diversified into custom-made weaponry, including a modular .50 caliber rifle and a pair of high-tech handguns harnessing the powers of her Bloodgem.

trained hand-to-hand combatant

Despite her reputation for firearm use, she's an accomplished martial artist and melee combatant. Often punching above her weight class, Elsa uses joint locks, leverage, and other crafty tricks to beat her opponents in close combat. Though she does have a killer hook kick to go along with all those.

enhanced physiology

Elsa was initially granted superhuman strength, resilience, agility, and reflexes from the Bloodgem mounted on a choker, the same rock that powered her father ten thousand years ago. Recently, an encounter with loose fragments of the Bloodgem after losing an arm caused the Bloodgems to reform her arm and granting her new powers. Now, she could tap into the powers of the Bloodgem further to boost her speed and power, as well as fire energy blasts out of her hand.
